Scope
Two surfaces, one explanation
This policy covers the Roomlight Android app and these Roomlight web pages. The app is a room-card reflection tool; the site introduces that experience and provides this policy.
Audience
Who the rooms are written for
Roomlight is written for adults and older teens seeking a brief, non-clinical reflection practice. A parent, guardian, educator, or care professional can help decide whether it fits a younger person's context.
Inputs
No open writing desk
The app does not ask for a name, email address, phone number, postal address, free-form journal entry, photo, recording, message, payment detail, or uploaded file.
Local records
The small bundle a card contains
A saved room card contains the identifiers of the four app cards you selected and the time the card was made. The app keeps up to 24 recent room cards in its private preferences on the device.
Saving
The moment a local record is made
Nothing is saved merely because you browse a room. A local record is created when you choose to keep the completed four-part room card.
Delete one
Taking out a single card
The Window area lets you delete one saved room card without disturbing the rest. Once removed through the app, that local card is no longer available there.
Clear all
Clearing the whole shelf
Use the erase-all action to remove every saved room card. Android's clear-data control or uninstalling Roomlight also removes the app's local preferences.
Permissions
Device keys the app does not request
Roomlight does not request access to location, camera, microphone, contacts, calendars, nearby devices, or shared photo and document libraries. Its selected-card state remains inside app-private storage.
Accounts
Enter without an identity card
There is no registration, sign-in, profile, cloud identity, social connection, or account recovery flow. Roomlight does not create an account for you.
Measurement
The room is not counted from afar
The app contains no advertising, audience analytics, attribution, behavioral tracking, or remote crash-reporting component. It does not build a usage profile or send engagement events.
App media
The artwork travels with the app
Roomlight reads its illustrated scenes from the installed package. The app does not send saved room cards to a server or retrieve a remote content feed.
Website delivery
What happens at the website window
These pages use no forms, cookies, advertising scripts, analytics scripts, or browser storage. A hosting service may receive ordinary request details needed to deliver a page, such as an IP address, time, requested file, and browser information, according to that host's practices.
Sale and sharing
No parcel prepared for advertisers
Roomlight does not collect or transmit personal information from the app, so it does not sell that information or provide it to advertisers, data brokers, or marketing partners.
Younger visitors
Context for younger visitors
The experience has no child account, chat, public posting, targeted advertising, or purchase flow. Roomlight is not designed to gather personal information from children. Adults should provide context when a young person uses wellbeing material.
Sensitive details
Leave sensitive details outside
Because the app offers fixed choices rather than free text or uploads, it is not a place to record diagnoses, crisis details, names, or another person's private story. Seek an appropriate human channel for sensitive communication.
Shared devices
A shared hallway changes privacy
Someone who can unlock a shared device may be able to open Roomlight and view saved room cards. Use the device lock, remove individual cards, or clear the shelf when that possibility matters.
Links and changes
Paths beyond this house
If a Roomlight page links to another resource, that destination follows its own privacy practices. This policy may be updated when app or site behavior changes; the revision date below identifies the text you are reading.
Revision date: August 26, 2026.
